About San Carlos Together
San Carlos Together, Inc. is a non-profit, public benefit corporation designed to support cultural, educational, recreational and neighborhood improvement programs and projects in the City of San Carlos.
Mission
Incorporated in 2009, the mission of San Carlos Together (SCT) is to focus on community-building activities as a call to action by the San Carlos City Council in 2005, which approved the “Enhancing the City of Good Living Initiative”
Focus on Community
Encouraged by the level of volunteerism we enjoy in San Carlos today, SCT aspires to contribute to our city of good living by facilitating alliances between the wealth of volunteers and activities that support our community. We believe that we can streamline the coordination of activities, and the people interested in them by creating the right atmosphere for people and possibilities to come together.
Plans for Volunteer Success
Whether you like to garden, tutor, sew costumes or clear trails, if you can give an hour, a day or a week of your time, SCT would like to match you up with the activities you love to do. SCT is in the process of establishing a volunteer database* of people who have expressed interest in helping with community projects. A volunteer coordinator will maintain the computerized database and notify residents as specific interests and opportunities become available.
Interesting Activities
SCT Has begun to establish relationships with our community not-for-profit organizations in order to increase their visibility to you, and facilitate their specific volunteer and fundraising needs. Please see our projects and programs page for some current ideas. If you are involved in a group that we might be interested in, please let us know.
Plans for Funding Development
SCT accepts donations from citizens, governments, business, service clubs and charitable trusts to support community-based projects. You many donate to a specific project/program or to the general fund in which the proceeds of which will be distributed at the discretion of the board. Contact us if you care to make a contribution.
